After graduating from Jesuit High School, he attended Louisiana State University, where he spent time as an intern for the Saint Tammany District Attorney’s Office. The internship gave him up-close courtroom experience, further developing his passion for the legal field.
Following in his grandfather’s footsteps, David decided to become an attorney and enrolled in Loyola University New Orleans College of Law. During his time at Loyola, David made the Dean’s List and was elected a Student Body Class Representative.
Soon after graduating, David handled a complex abuse case for a relative with severe developmental disabilities. Although the case was difficult, David was able to gain experience on all Louisiana Court levels, ultimately obtaining a unanimous verdict from the Louisiana Supreme Court in his client’s favor.
